About playr2.

Finding time to play is hard enough. Finding the right people shouldn’t be.

playr2 helps you discover likeminded people nearby who enjoy your favourite activities, play at a similar level and are up for making plans. Whether that’s a game of tennis, padel, a social run or a cycle, find an activity to join or organise your own.

Find your perfect player two.

We’re still in the early stages of building playr2. As the community grows, we plan to add more sports and ways to book activities, making it even easier to get out and play.

Privacy and GDPR

About this draft

This notice describes the playr2 usability prototype, last updated 8 October 2026. It is not a final policy for a live service. The operator’s legal identity, postal address and monitored privacy contact must be confirmed before launch. Please use fictional details and a test password.

Information and current operation

Profile and activity inputs, photos and messages are used to display the demonstration in your browser. This version has no real account authentication or shared database. The onboarding-completed flag is stored locally; most entered data remains in page memory and is lost on reload. Feedback is copied to your clipboard only when you select that action. Support forms and reports do not send their contents.

Hosting and external services

Website delivery may involve technical information such as IP addresses and request logs processed by the hosting provider. The page requests Manrope fonts from Google Fonts, which involves a connection to Google. Optional external map links open a separate provider’s website. Those providers’ own notices also apply.

Purposes and lawful bases

The prototype is used to demonstrate features, collect feedback voluntarily shared with the project owner and investigate faults. Before collecting real account data, the operator must document each purpose and applicable UK GDPR lawful basis, including contract where necessary to provide an account, legitimate interests where appropriately assessed, legal obligations and consent where required. These are proposed categories, not a claim that every basis currently applies.

Sharing, retention and transfers

There is no live sharing of profile inputs with other users in this build. Browser storage remains until cleared. Feedback you send separately is handled through the channel you choose. Before launch, specify actual processors, retention periods, recipients and any international-transfer safeguards; do not assume providers process exclusively in the UK.

Your rights

Depending on the processing and applicable conditions, rights may include access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, portability and withdrawal of consent. You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. For this prototype, contact the person who invited you directly; the demonstration Contact us form does not deliver privacy requests.

Security and future changes

Do not enter sensitive health information, home addresses or genuine passwords. No security guarantee is made. A live service will require appropriate technical and organisational protections and an updated notice explaining real collection, retention and sharing. UK data-protection rights are not limited by any contractual governing-law clause.

Cookie Policy

Scope

This original draft covers cookies and similar storage used by the playr2 prototype, last updated 8 October 2026. It must be checked against the deployed site before live launch.

What these technologies do

Cookies are small files placed by websites. Local storage is separate browser storage that can persist after a tab closes. Page-memory state is temporary and usually disappears on reload.

Storage used by this build

The prototype writes a local-storage key named playr2V65Onboarded with the value 1 after onboarding. It records completion, not your password or profile. It has no automatic expiry and remains until reset or browser storage is cleared. Activity requests, messages and blocking state are held in page memory. This code does not set advertising or analytics cookies.

Third-party requests

Google Fonts and website hosting involve external requests. Their actual storage and logging behaviour must be audited separately. Following an optional map link takes you to another site with its own cookie practices. This policy does not promise that external providers set no cookies.

Choices and future consent

You can clear local storage through browser settings or use Reset prototype. Blocking storage may affect remembered onboarding. Before adding non-essential tracking, assess applicable consent requirements and implement working controls where required; no tracking-consent banner or preference centre is provided by this prototype.

Questions and updates

Contact the person who invited you directly. The demonstration support form does not send messages. A live policy must identify the operator, contact details, actual technologies, providers, purposes and retention periods.

Terms of Use

Prototype status

Last updated 8 October 2026. These are draft terms for reviewing playr2, not approved terms for public live use. playr2 demonstrates finding compatible people and organising tennis, padel, running and cycling activities. The operator’s legal identity, address and contact must be inserted before launch.

Testing and accounts

Use fictional details and a test password. Login, sample participants, join approvals, messages and reports are simulations; no real account is created. The prototype does not reserve venues, take payments or confirm attendance at genuine events. Do not rely on sample activities as invitations to attend.

Responsible use

Do not submit unlawful, abusive, discriminatory or misleading content, another person’s private details, malicious code or unauthorised images. Respect other people’s privacy and intellectual property. Do not attempt to access information or functionality without permission.

Activities and safety

For any future live pilot, participants should agree ability, pace, equipment, meeting location and venue arrangements beforehand and use suitable public meeting places. Ability descriptions are self-reported and indicative. playr2 is not a coach, medical adviser or emergency service. Obtain appropriate advice if unsure about participation. Proposed safety rules and age eligibility must be settled before that pilot.

Bookings and payments

No court booking or payment is processed here. Any future arrangements made directly with organisers or venues will require clear prices, cancellation terms and responsibilities. These drafts do not introduce subscriptions, fees or automatic renewal.

Intellectual property and availability

The playr2 name, interface and original materials remain subject to their owners’ rights. You retain rights in content you supply. The prototype may be changed or withdrawn and may contain faults; keep your own copy of feedback you wish to retain.

Liability and statutory rights

These terms do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Applicable statutory consumer rights remain unaffected. A proportionate live-service liability clause requires professional review.

Governing law and contact

These draft terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without removing mandatory rights to bring proceedings in other competent courts where applicable. For prototype questions, contact the person who invited you; the Contact us form is a demonstration only.
